Masahiro

The Hattori Family founded the Masahiro Co. Ltd. in April 1932.  The Masahiro knife production is still being managed by Hattori family members in Seki City in Gifu Prefecture - Japan. Masahiro lead the market back in the day but still remains as the leader of knife production in the present. The company stays on top for their continuous development and improvement of steel. Masahiro developed a steel in the 1960s called MBS-26 steel which made their knives' sharpness, durability and corrosion resistance on top of the knife industry. They released a variety of series designed for both home and professional cooking. MVH series is made with the popular MBS-26 steel designed with solid bolster for maximum efficiency. BWH series is also made with MBS-26 steel with a handle design with Pakkawood on both sides for easy maneuvering.
